Muscat : In a statement aimed at enhancing road safety, the ROP emphasised that emergency vehicles must be given clear and unobstructed passage at all times. Motorists attempting to exploit this movement to bypass traffic not only endanger lives but also violate Oman’s traffic regulations.
“Driving behind emergency vehicles with the intention of overtaking other vehicles is unsafe traffic behavior and is considered a traffic violation. Be aware and follow traffic rules and regulations,” the ROP notice stated.
