Muscat: The presentation, delivered by Eng. Mahmoud bin Khalfan Al Hadidi, CEO of Siraj, highlighted collaborative projects that support sustainability, green energy research, and SME development—underscoring Siraj’s readiness for listing on the Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX).

Positioned as a “one-stop shop for research and innovation,” Siraj is actively channeling investments to foster R&D ecosystems across Omani universities. One of the key initiatives unveiled includes the creation of an endowed chair in energy or sustainability at an Omani university—funded by private sector organizations—to bolster academic expertise in renewable energy and policy impact.

The presentation also confirmed the foundation’s plans to list on the MSX, marking a new phase of growth and financial sustainability for Siraj. As part of its regional outreach, Siraj is supporting aquaculture projects in Sur and South Al Sharqiyah, providing students and SMEs access to practical training, research platforms, and mentorship.

Furthering its commitment to sustainability, Siraj has invested over RO 100,000 in solar panel installations across higher education institutions. These initiatives not only promote clean energy but also redirect operational savings toward funding scholarships for underprivileged students.

Another major project is the Green Hydrogen & Clean Tech Research Lab established in partnership with an Omani university. With a total investment of RO 40,000, the lab is expected to play a crucial role in building local R&D capabilities, preparing students for the global energy transition, and fostering public-private collaboration in clean technology.

“To achieve Oman Vision 2040, we must bring out the best in sustainability and empower our students to be ready for the green hydrogen future,” said Eng. Al Hadidi. He emphasized that Siraj’s mission is not only to fund innovation but also to ensure its impact is felt in local industries, academic institutions, and communities.
