MUSCAT : The Air India crash, which claimed the lives of several individuals including young medical students Manav, Aaryan, Rakesh, and Jaiprakash, struck a chord with Dr. Shamsheer, who himself once lived in similar student hostels while training to become a doctor. “They were preparing to save lives, not lose their own,” he noted, pledging the funds to support the bereaved families and others affected by the tragedy. “This gesture is personal. It stands with the students who never got to serve, and with the families now carrying their memories forward.”
Dr. Shamsheer’s commitment to healthcare and compassion goes far beyond his role in the boardroom. Since founding Burjeel Holdings in 2007 with the opening of LLH Hospital in Abu Dhabi, he has transformed the group into a leading integrated healthcare provider with 16 operational hospitals, over 23 medical centers, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, and various healthcare support services spanning the Middle East and India.
