DUBAI: Slated to open this summer at Kempinski The Boulevard, overlooking the iconic Burj Khalifa, the venture is redefining fine dining through futuristic flavor and cutting-edge collaboration.
Dubai-based hospitality group Gastronaut has unveiled WOOHOO, the first restaurant in the world to feature an AI chef at its core. Named Chef Aiman, the AI creation was developed by UAE startup UMAI with one clear goal: to work with humans, not replace them.
Unlike conventional kitchen robots or automated cooking devices, Chef Aiman operates as a full-fledged digital chef. He assists in recipe creation, menu engineering, ingredient pairing, and live kitchen operations—learning and evolving through real-time human feedback.

WOOHOO’s menu is as daring as its concept. A fusion of Japanese, Mexican, and Peruvian cuisines has been selected to test the AI’s skill in balancing bold traditions with modern finesse. Each dish is born from a duet between Aiman’s algorithmic acumen and the artistry of Michelin-level chefs.
Beyond the plate, WOOHOO offers a multisensory dining experience. The interiors promise a futuristic vibe—complete with ambient lighting, digital art, and panoramic views—crafted to transport guests into a world where gastronomy meets tech and design.
Crucially, ethical programming is at the heart of Chef Aiman’s operations. All recipes undergo rigorous testing, transparency protocols, and constant refinement based on feedback.
