MUSCAT : His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday that efforts are currently underway to set new dates for the meeting, which was part of an ongoing diplomatic initiative to revive talks aimed at curbing Iran’s nuclear programme in exchange for the easing of U.S. financial sanctions.

“The new dates will be announced once they are agreed upon by both parties,” His Excellency stated.

Over the past month, Washington and Tehran have engaged in discreet negotiations, with Oman acting as a key mediator. The talks are part of renewed international efforts to stabilize regional security and revisit elements of the 2015 nuclear accord framework.
