Muscat: On April 30, 2025, the CPA enforced a closure order against two businesses operating in the investment, doors, and automatic systems sector. The reason cited for the closure was failure to adhere to agreed service timeframes and a lack of transparency and credibility in dealing with consumers.
The Authority reported receiving numerous complaints from consumers regarding the delayed services and poor responsiveness of the firms. Despite repeated notices and requests for clarification, the establishments did not cooperate with the CPA’s directives, prompting legal escalation.
Subsequently, the case was referred to the Public Prosecution, which issued a judicial decision to suspend the operations of the two businesses. The suspension will remain in effect until the legal complaints filed against the firms are fully resolved.
