Muscat – According to a statement issued by the ROP, the arrest was carried out by the North Al Batinah Police Command in coordination with the Special Tasks Police Unit. The individual had reportedly removed his vehicle’s license plates and was driving recklessly during a social event, causing alarm and endangering public safety.
The driver collided with a police patrol vehicle and a lamppost while attempting to flee the scene. He then attempted to conceal his vehicle in an effort to avoid detection.
Authorities confirmed that legal procedures are currently underway against the individual.
