MUSCAT : Registration for the third edition is now open until May 15, 2025, with the programme targeting recent graduates specialising in finance, accounting, cybersecurity, information security, computer science, and information technology.

This edition of the programme also introduces a new cybersecurity track, offering globally recognised certifications to align with evolving labour market demands and the rapid digital transformation in the sector.

The Mu’tamad programme is designed to equip Omani job seekers with internationally accredited qualifications, including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) certifications for finance professionals, as well as specialized certifications in cybersecurity.

Fahmi bin Zaher Al Mazrouei, Acting Head of Human Resources and Change at OIA, stressed the importance of the initiative in building a skilled local workforce. He pointed out that the launch of the third edition reflects OIA’s ongoing efforts to develop national competencies and enhance their readiness for the labour market.

He further added that Mu’tamad complements other OIA training programmes such as Nomu and E’dad, and plays a key role in raising Omanisation rates, increasing productivity, and strengthening the talent pipeline for both public and private sector entities.

Since its inception, the programme has successfully trained 50 participants across its first and second editions, all of whom qualified for internationally recognized certifications in finance and accounting.

To be eligible for the programme, applicants must be Omani nationals with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, a minimum GPA of 2.7, and must be registered job seekers in Oman’s labour force system. Qualified candidates will undergo written exams and personal interviews as part of the selection process.
