Muscat – Taking place at the St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort from April 27 to 28, the Forum is an international gathering aimed at shaping the future of global investment and economic collaboration. It has drawn more than 250 high-level delegates, including international investors, policy experts, and business leaders.

The event is organised by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, through its investment arm, Invest Oman.

Designed as a strategic platform for dialogue, the forum explores a range of timely issues, from climate finance and shifting capital flows to regional integration and long-term investment planning. It comes at a moment when global economic uncertainty is prompting countries to reevaluate the fundamentals needed to attract and retain investment.

Oman is using the forum to highlight its stable policy environment, regulatory reforms, and diversified economy—key elements of its Vision 2040 development strategy, which is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Key sectors under focus include clean energy, logistics, sustainable tourism, and agri-tech.

A notable keynote speaker at the event is Luigi Di Maio, EU Special Representative for the Gulf Region, who will discuss the deepening economic ties between Europe and the Gulf and the expanding role of mid-sized nations in global affairs.

The opening session, titled ‘The Shape of Things to Come’, features a high-level discussion moderated by CNN’s Richard Quest, with panellists including His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and His Excellency Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority. The session will explore how global megatrends, such as climate action, digital transformation, and shifting investment priorities, are reshaping international economic dynamics.

Forum discussions will also delve into emerging investment themes including ESG frameworks, green hydrogen, digital infrastructure, and resilient supply chains, with Oman’s own reforms and innovation-driven initiatives serving as key case studies.

Although the event is closed to the public, its main sessions are being streamed live on YouTube and LinkedIn, in a move to make these critical conversations accessible to a broader global audience.
