Muscat: Tatweer, the executive and investment arm of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, continues to drive strategic development in Duqm through extensive infrastructure and asset management projects. Its portfolio includes wastewater treatment plants, roads, public facilities, dams, parks, and the operation of critical assets like Duqm Port, Duqm Airport, and the government wharf.
Engineer Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Wahaibi, CEO of Tatweer, highlighted the company’s role in shaping Duqm’s future, noting the successful completion of over 46 projects over the past five years and internal management of seven projects, resulting in savings exceeding RO 12 million.
Road infrastructure remains a key focus, with projects worth around OMR 210.4 million supervised by Tatweer. Last year, the company completed phases of the dualization of Southern National Road No. 32, significantly improving connectivity and supporting the zone’s growing investment demand. This year, Tatweer plans to complete the internal road network in the Say commercial district and key dualization projects linking Duqm Airport to Ras Markaz.
