Muscat: The latest pricing data reflects continued pressure on oil markets, with Omani crude trending lower than previous months. For April delivery, the monthly average price stood at $77.63 per barrel — a significant drop of $2.63 compared to the average for March.

While the current decline may be modest, the trend points to softening demand or shifting dynamics in the global oil market. Oman, which plays a key role in the Middle East’s energy exports, adjusts its oil pricing based on trading activity on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange, making it a vital benchmark for regional oil pricing.

Traders and analysts will be closely monitoring upcoming movements, especially with global factors such as geopolitical tensions and production adjustments by OPEC+ influencing oil market volatility.
