Muscat: Led by the Department of Health Affairs under the North Al Sharqiyah Municipality, the inspection campaign was conducted in coordination with municipal departments from across the governorate’s wilayats, the Consumer Protection Department, the Joint Labor Inspection Team, and the Department of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion.
The crackdown resulted in the inspection of 118 establishments, issuance of two violations, and 12 formal warnings. A total of 169 items deemed unfit for use and 28 kilograms of unused food were destroyed to safeguard public health and safety.

During the campaign, three laid-off workers were apprehended for violating Oman’s Labor Law. The individuals were detained, and their employer was summoned to the Joint Labor Inspection Team headquarters to complete legal procedures.
In another major action, unauthorized promotional offers were identified. Teams removed promotional materials that were being displayed and sold without proper approvals, in violation of commercial regulations.
