Oman signs landmark JDA to establish world’s first liquid hydrogen corridor to Europe

As part of the state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Oman signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to establish the world's first commercial-scale liquid hydrogen corridor linking Oman to Europe.

Muscat – Upon completion, the corridor will open a direct export line for liquefied hydrogen, compliant with the European Union’s Renewable Fuels for Transport (RFNBO) standards, from the Port of Duqm in Oman to the Port of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and from there to strategic logistics centers in Germany, including the Port of Duisburg, from where it will be exported to other European markets.

The agreement brings together eleven entities from Oman, the Netherlands, and Germany, including Hydrom, OQ Group, Port of Duqm, Port of Amsterdam, Port of Duisport, Ecolog International, EnBW, Tata Steel, Advanced Methanol Amsterdam, Hynetwork Services and other key stakeholders.
