Muscat – This initiative highlights the nation’s commitment to improving public health and fostering community well-being, aligning with efforts to create a healthier, sustainable society for all.
Dr. Abdullah bin Hamoud Al Harthy, Advisor to the Minister of Health for International Cooperation Affairs at the Minister of Health’s Office, said: “This National Rehabilitation Centre is the first medical hub of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman, linking health and community institutions to rehabilitate people injured in accidents, sports injuries, and other injuries – both adults and children. It also connects health institutions across the Sultanate of Oman, including the Medical City for Military and Security Forces and the University Medical City.”
He added that this project will provide comprehensive, high-level rehabilitation services using latest technologies and practices, contributing to enhancing quality of life and reintegrating individuals and re-engaging them in society. Services at the centre include rehabilitation for diseases and injuries of the nervous system, burns and muscular injuries, cardiac and vision rehabilitation, and other rehabilitation services.
