MUSCAT : In an effort to address the growing issue of waste during Ramadan, Muscat Governorate has revealed that a significant 60 percent of the waste generated during the month is food waste. The local authorities are urging the public to reflect on their consumption habits and adopt more sustainable practices during this holy period.
Authorities have called on individuals to adopt mindful consumption and thereby avoid such staggering wastage.
