MUSCAT : The announcement coincides with Arab Libraries Day, celebrated annually on March 10.
The competition seeks to strengthen the role of libraries and cultural centres by evaluating their effectiveness in knowledge dissemination and community engagement through the Knowledge Horizons Program, a modern digital system designed to enhance library operations.
As part of its commitment to developing private libraries and cultural centers, the ministry has introduced the Knowledge Horizons System—an integrated electronic platform that streamlines library management. The system enables supervisors to index, classify, and provide digital library services via internal networks or the Internet, making it easier for libraries to manage their collections and interact with the public.
