Oman’s tomato production dips slightly in 2024, North Batinah remains top producer

Preliminary figures released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) reveal that Oman produced 219,775 tons of tomatoes in 2024.

MUSCAT : This represents a slight decrease of 2.5 percent compared to the previous year.

The governorate of Al Batinah North continues to lead the country in tomato production, contributing the highest quantity at 155,241 tons. This region has consistently been a major agricultural hub for Oman, benefiting from favourable growing conditions and a well-established farming community.
