MUSCAT : Knowledge Oman is all set to bridge the gap between academia and industry by formalizing agreements with leading companies. This initiative will bring industry experts into academic institutions, equipping faculty members and students with practical skills that align with real-world industry demands.
“Creating a strong bridge between academia and industry is not just an opportunity—it is a necessity. To truly empower students and faculty, we must bring real-world expertise into the classroom, ensuring that education translates into impactful careers. This is a key mission for Knowledge Oman this year and we are committed with the help of industries to making this a reality” said Knowledge Oman Founder, Tariq Hilal Al Barwani.
Knowledge Oman Academy launched last year received approximately 300 registrations till date from individual community speakers. Topics of speakers include Technical Skills, Business Entrepreneurship, Leadership & Management, Marketing & Sales, Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility, Health & Wellness, Finance & Wealth Management, Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. Knowledge Oman has hosted hundreds of events in the form of seminars, workshops and community engagement across the Sultanate since inception in 2008.

“Our initial goal was to capture individual community interest on their personal capacity to speak as an expert for the academia. Now, we are moving further by working also closely with different organizations from different industries to achieve the goal of enriching the academia with latest developments from the industry” added Tariq Al Barwani
