Muscat: Spanning 428,000 square meters, the hospital is being developed to meet modern international standards, offering a unique architectural design that sets it apart from traditional hospital structures. Eng. Yousef bin Yaqoub Ambu Ali, Director General of Projects and Engineering Services at the Ministry of Health, confirmed that work began in April 2023, and the facility is expected to significantly enhance healthcare services in the region.

The hospital will feature over 150 beds distributed across various specialized wards, including:

Surgical, pediatric, and intensive care units
Gynecology, obstetrics, and internal medicine departments
Emergency and accident unit, cardiac care unit, and physiotherapy services
Integrated kidney unit with 18 beds, 13 outpatient clinics, and 3 cardiac clinics
5 operating rooms, maternity ward, and a psychiatric clinic

The radiology department will offer MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, and X-ray services, while a dedicated day care unit will support outpatient procedures. The hospital will also include administrative buildings, pharmacies, laboratories, and medical supply storage facilities.

Once completed, Al Namaa Hospital will be equipped with the latest medical technology and serve as a key healthcare hub for North Al Sharqiyah, alleviating pressure on Ibra Reference Hospital and other regional medical centers.
