Oman to showcase mega urban projects at MIPM 2025 in France

Oman is set to participate in the World Urbanism Festival, MIPIM 2025, kicking off next Tuesday in Cannes, France, where it will highlight its ambitious urban development plans and investment opportunities

Muscat: The four-day event, themed “Shaping Sustainable Cities,” is expected to attract 20,000 participants from 90 countries, including top investors, real estate developers, urban planners, and architects.

Oman’s pavilion will spotlight a series of landmark projects, including:

Sultan Haitham City
Al Khuwair Downtown
Salalah Future City
Oman Mountain Front
Thuraya City

These developments align with the Oman Vision 2040 strategy, focusing on building integrated, smart, and sustainable urban environments that position the Sultanate as a regional leader in real estate investment and urban planning.

Oman will also host nine panel discussions at its pavilion, covering investment strategies, real estate market trends, and future development projects. Additionally, His Excellency Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed Al-Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, will deliver a keynote session on “The Impact of Long-Term Demographic Changes on Creating Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Differences between Europe and Other Countries.”

In a major achievement, Sultan Haitham City has advanced to the final stage of the MIPIM 2025 Awards, ranking among the top four global projects in urban development and sustainability. The prestigious award honors innovation, design, environmental impact, and contributions to improving quality of life.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony next Thursday, attended by leading investors and real estate developers from around the world.
