FSQC issues warning over unpasteurised milk products in Oman

The Food Safety and Quality Center (FSQC) has issued a public warning regarding the sale of unpasteurised local milk products, which may pose a significant health risk to consumers.

MUSCAT : The warning comes after reports emerged of certain shops displaying these products without proper pasteurization.

In response, the Center has coordinated with relevant authorities to ensure that necessary actions are taken to remove these potentially harmful items from the market.

The Center’s alert reads as follows: “Some stores are displaying unpasteurized local dairy products, which may pose a health risk to consumers. The Center has coordinated with the relevant authorities to take the necessary measures in this regard. The Center directs consumers to avoid consuming these products, stressing the need to inform the competent authorities when they notice them displayed in sales outlets to ensure everyone’s safety.”
