MUSCAT : These commemorative coins are legal tenders for their face values and can be purchased from the Central Bank of Oman, or through Oman Post’s sales window at the Opera Galleria starting from March 10, 2025.
Distinctive features of the coins:
• Obverse: The national emblem (Coat of Arms & Khanjar), the name of the Sultanate of Oman, the name of the Central Bank of Oman, the denomination in both Arabic and English, and the year of mint.
• Reverse: Each coin depicts a coloured image of one of the three endangered species: the Arabian Leopard, the Sooty Falcon, and the Frankincense Tree.
While the face value of the coins remains fixed, the selling price will be subject to change depending on fluctuations in the international silver market.
