MUSCAT: His Excellency Eng. Al Aufi also emphasised Oman’s commitment to maintaining production capacity in the oil and gas sectors, regardless of fluctuating prices. He stated that the operating cost would not exceed 9 to 10 US dollars per barrel, while the production cost ranges between 23 to 25 US dollars.
Additionally, Minister highlighted Oman’s progress in green hydrogen development, predicting that the first production of one million tons is expected by 2030.
The Minister’s remarks were made during the forum’s opening day, which was held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.
The ‘Together We Progress’ forum, organised by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, aims to foster dialogue between the government and society.
