MUSCAT : Chaired by His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Badr Al Maawali, Governor of South Al Sharqiyah, the council reviewed its 2025 housing site recommendations and progress on housing-related transactions, ensuring alignment with urban expansion goals.
One of the key topics on the agenda was a proposal from the South Al Sharqiyah Municipality for an alternative entrance to the Abu Qala area in Wilayat Sur, aimed at improving traffic flow and accessibility. The council also addressed responses from relevant authorities regarding this initiative.
In addition, discussions covered challenges in new residential plans for (Al-Aija 5) and (Shiaa 6) in Wilayat Sur, with insights from the General Directorate of Housing and Urban Planning on possible solutions to enhance community integration.
