Dr Hamad bin Hamdan al Rubaie, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Omani Lawyers Association, stressed that the initiative comes as a continuation of the efforts aimed at enhancing humanitarian work in the Omani society.

“Since its inception, the initiative has outlined the noble goals and values of the Omani society, and reflects the epic of cooperation and solidarity between the members of society and its institutions. This has been reflected in the numbers and statistics of the initiative throughout the previous versions, with the help of the largest possible number of those who deserve it,” he stated.

Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Zadjali, General Supervisor of the Fak Kurbah Initiative, explained that the initiative, which is supervised by the Omani Lawyers Association, has been in operation for 11 years, and during previous versions, the initiative succeeded in releasing more than 7,110 insolvent persons who met the conditions of the initiative.

He added that the initiative this year aims to release about 1,300 people, with the participation of community members and various institutions.

He pointed out that the donation will be available electronically through the initiative’s website ‘www.fakkrba.om’ and the initiative’s bank account, in addition to donating through the ‘Thawani’ application.
