MUSCAT : As per the announcement from the traffic department of the Royal Oman Police, the expansion of services authorises qualified vehicle maintenance centers and workshops within industrial zones to conduct these inspections.
“The Royal Oman Police has enabled vehicle maintenance centres and workshops in the qualified industrial zones to provide technical inspection services for vehicles for those wishing to provide this service,” states the announcement.
However, the ROP stressed the importance of strict adherence to Resolution No. 88/2024, which governs the provision of vehicle technical inspection services. This resolution establishes the necessary controls and regulations to ensure the quality and consistency of inspections, ultimately contributing to enhanced road safety.
