Oman’s SAI launches ‘Corporate Governance’ training programme

The State Audit Institution (SAI) commenced a three-day training program on ‘Corporate Governance’ at the Movenpick Hotel Muscat.

MUSCAT : The programme, conducted by the SAI’s Training Center, features over 60 participants from 24 government companies that fall under the audit jurisdiction of the SAI. Lectures will be delivered by certified trainers from the SAI, alongside a specialist from the Oman Investment Authority
The programme, which is set to run from February 18 to 20, aims to introduce the legislative system for corporate governance in the Sultanate of Oman, and highlight relevant international standards as well as the role of internal audit and auditing systems in the governance quality in the companies subject to SAI’s audit.


Through both theoretical and practical sessions, participants will gain insights into the history and evolution of corporate governance, the role of the Oman Investment Authority, and effective compliance and evaluation methods. The programme also includes case studies designed to provide practical learning and highlight key governance lessons.
