Oman signs agreements with Kenya and Nepal at Indian Ocean Conference

On the sidelines of the just concluded 8th Indian Ocean Conference, Oman signed two significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening international cooperation in key sectors.

MUSCAT : The agreements were signed with the Republic of Kenya and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

The first MoU, signed with Kenya’s Minister of Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs, focuses on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of blue economy and fisheries. The agreement is set to boost marine resource management, promote sustainable practices, and unlock new opportunities for both nations in the fisheries sector.

In a separate agreement, Oman also signed an MoU with Nepal to further diplomatic studies, with an emphasis on enhancing academic collaboration between the two nations.
