CPA seizes 180 violating items from herbal and cosmetic stores in Oman’s North Batinah

A joint consumer protection and health services campaign in North Al Batinah Governorate has resulted in the seizure of 180 violating items from herbal product and cosmetic stores.

Muscat – The campaign, conducted by the Directorate General of Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) in Al Suwaiq in collaboration with the Directorate General of Health Services in North Al Batinah, targeted businesses selling herbal products and cosmetics.

The seized items were found to violate consumer protection standards and health regulations.
This initiative is in line with the Authority’s broader objectives to promote consumer safety, combat malpractices by service providers, and ensure that products are stored and handled under appropriate health conditions. The campaign also aimed to educate consumers about their rights and responsibilities, encouraging transparency and fairness in transactions with providers.

The joint effort is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that businesses comply with the Omani Consumer Protection Law and its executive regulations, enhancing consumer confidence and protecting the rights of shoppers across the region.
