MUSCAT : The forum, aimed at executive directors, managers, employees, and graduates, will focus on the significance of professional certifications in career development and job performance.

The forum’s primary goal is to exchange knowledge and insights among participants regarding the latest trends in professional certifications. It will cover a range of topics including the concept and types of professional certifications, their role in enhancing job opportunities, career advancement, and best practices for obtaining these certifications. Attendees will also benefit from networking opportunities with experts across various industries.

The opening of the forum was marked by a speech from His Excellency Sayyid Salim bin Muslim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development. He highlighted the importance of professional certifications in the government sector and the continuous acquisition of new skills, noting that such efforts are key to securing jobs and progressing within them.

Abdullah bin Saif Al Maamari, CEO of the Oasis Talent Institute, also addressed the forum, highlighting the crucial role skills play in professional success. He pointed out that professional certifications help individuals adapt to evolving work environments and enhance job performance, both in the public and private sectors.

The forum will feature several working papers and discussions on various topics, including analysing new trends in professional certifications, labour market requirements, the benefits of obtaining professional certifications, and enhancing skills in the government sector. Other topics will include Oman’s professional and vocational qualification system and the role of certifications in building business skills in purchasing, supply chains, and supply. Additionally, personal experiences from professional certificate holders will be shared.
