Muscat – The Ministry of Finance has directed all ministries, units, public authorities and institutions and government companies to commit to awarding government tenders for supplies, implementation of works and provision of services – whose value does not exceed RO 25,000 – to small and medium enterprises that have obtained the Riyada card.
The circular also called for coordination with the National Local Content System Follow-up Committee regarding the challenges facing the awarding of tenders.
“Internal audit units in ministries, government units, public bodies and institutions, and government companies must follow up on compliance with the implementation of the decision, and take into account the implementation of the provisions and rules stipulated in the relevant systems and laws,” the circular stated.
