MUSCAT : The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) participated in the 2nd ICEF Middle East Scholarship and Partnership Summit, held in Muscat, under the patronage of HH Sayyid Dr. Kamil bin Fahd Al Said, Secretary General at the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers. Marking a significant milestone in MCBS’s ongoing efforts to enhance its international presence, the summit brought together over 60 international universities and institutions. This prestigious event created a platform for collaboration and partnership across various academic sectors, focusing on student exchange, scientific and research partnerships, and addressing the challenges surrounding scholarships.
Representing MCBS at the event were Ms. Aisha Al Kharusi, Deputy Executive Chairperson, Dr. Moosa Al Kindi, Dean of the College, Dr. Said Al Kitani, Associate Dean of Community Outreach and Engagement, and Ms. Kawthar Al Harthy, Director of International Relations – Global Engagement. Their participation reflects MCBS’ strategic vision for a strong global presence through partnerships with leading institutions, underscores its dedication to international educational collaboration and academic innovation.
During the summit, Dr. Said Al Kitani moderated a roundtable session titled “Cultural Education – The Omani Approach,” where he examined Oman’s historical role as a cultural bridge, fostering co-existence and acceptance. He highlighted how Oman’s rich cultural heritage is central to its identity, promoting respect among diverse cultures. In the present, Oman’s Basic Law and Vision 2040 position the country as a pioneering society in embracing global integration. Looking to the future, Dr. Al Kitani emphasized the vital role of cultural dialogue in education, stressing the need for increased exchange programs to attract international students and further enrich Oman’s educational environment.
