Muscat Governorate announces designated sites for street vendors

The Muscat Governorate is boosting the mobile catering scene with a mix of new and ongoing projects across the city.

MUSCAT : Several key locations have been designated for mobile catering businesses, offering a variety of cuisines and experiences. In Al Mawaleh South, an ongoing project provides space for 25 catering trailers within a sprawling 51,000 square feet area. Al-Khuwair, on Al-Maha Street, hosts 15 trailers in a 5,350 square-foot area, along with 100 parking spaces. The wadi alongside has space for 12 catering trailers, with parking accessible along the road.

Near the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, a dedicated area features 10 trailers and 30 parking spaces.

The Amerat pathway is a significant hub, accommodating 20 catering trailers and providing 86 parking spaces within a 10,547.242 square feet area. Further expansion is underway with ongoing projects in Al Jinain and Al Keraib.

Al Jinain will feature 5 catering trailers and 50 parking spaces within a 13,000 square feet area, while Al Keraib will offer 4 trailers and 50 parking spaces in a 200 square feet area.

These strategically located mobile catering businesses offer a range of options across Muscat’s diverse neighbourhoods, including Qurayyat, Mutrah, Muscat, Amerat, Bausher, and Seeb.
