Muscat – The project, with the total cost exceeding RO 1.3 million, reflects the ministry’s commitment to providing accessible healthcare services across all regions of Oman.

The grand opening ceremony was patronised by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsen Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality.

Following the opening, His Excellency and other attendees toured the centre, visiting its various departments, medical clinics, and facilities, and receiving a detailed briefing on the services offered.
Built on an 8,000 square meter plot with an 861 square meter building, the centre houses two general clinics, an examination and inspection room, an observation room for emergencies, two x-ray and sterilisation rooms, and a dental clinic.

A key highlight of the centre is its maternity unit, ensuring safe and reliable care for mothers and newborns. The facility also includes a maternity and childcare wing to support women and children, as well as a medical laboratory, pharmacy, medicine storage, reception areas, and waiting lounges for both men and women.

The establishment of Al Halaniyat Health Center addresses the challenges faced by the island’s residents in accessing integrated healthcare services due to their geographical isolation. This modern facility aims to provide sustainable healthcare solutions, improving the quality of life for citizens and residents of the island.
