MUSCAT: The Oman Foreign Ministry on Sunday condemned “provocative statements” made by the Israeli prime minister about establishing a Palestinian state on Saudi Arabia’s territory.
In a statement issued, the ministry reiterated the steadfast position of the Sultanate in supporting the legitimacy and justness of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, including the establishment of their independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
“Oman expresses its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and rejects the statements made by the Israeli Prime Minister against the Kingdom and the unity of its territories,” the statement said.
