MUSCAT : This decision, outlined by the General Administration of Customs, affects all companies involved in the export of such waste oils.
Companies wishing to export any type of new or used oil are required to conduct necessary laboratory tests for their shipments at a laboratory accredited by the Environment Authority. The shipment sample must be submitted at the port before crossing the border.
Exports of waste oils will be allowed only through the following ports: Al-Wajjah, Salalah Port, and Sohar Port. These ports will be open for oil exports from 7 am to 9 pm.
