Oman’s oil exports hit 308 million barrels in 2024

Oman’s total oil exports reached 308.42 million barrels by the end of December 2024, with an average price per barrel at $81.2, according to the latest National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) data.

MUSCAT: Oil exports accounted for 84.9% of total oil production, which amounted to 363.29 million barrels. However, total exports saw a slight 0.6% decline compared to 310.33 million barrels in December 2023, mirroring a 5.1% drop in overall production year-on-year.

Total crude oil production fell 6.5% to 278.02 million barrels, while condensate production stood at 85.27 million barrels. The average daily output of oil settled at 992,600 barrels in 2024.

China remained Oman’s top oil importer, receiving 289.22 million barrels, a 1.3% increase from the previous year. South Korea followed with 5.77 million barrels, marking a 10.6% rise, while Japan’s imports dropped 39.7% to 5.66 million barrels. Meanwhile, India’s imports rose 10.6% to 3 million barrels.
