Oman’s Khazaen Economic City signs agreement worth RO 15 million to establish livestock vaccine factory

Khazaen Economic City and Medical and Educational Supplies Technology Company signed an agreement worth more than RO 15 million to set up a factory for the production of million animal vaccines.

MUSCAT : The agreement was signed by Eng. Salim Suleiman Al Dhuhli, CEO of Khazaen Economic City, and Dr. Mamdooh Aqeed, CEO of the company.

The unit, expected to be set on an approximate area of 10,000 square meters, is aimed at producing two billion vaccines a year.

The project seeks to boost the food security system through the production of veterinary vaccines for livestock envisaged to cover local demand and allow export to global markets.
