Muscat – This action was part of an inspection campaign conducted over two weeks, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Health Services in the governorate.
The campaign spanned several wilayats and was designed to ensure that businesses comply with the Consumer Protection Law, its Executive Regulations, and Decision No. 254/2015, which governs the trade of natural herbs.
The campaign also emphasized consumer education and awareness, promoting social responsibility, and fostering trust between businesses and consumers. By addressing consumer concerns and disseminating information through various channels, including social media, the campaign aimed to reduce consumer complaints and enhance the overall trading environment.
In addition to the product seizures, the campaign has contributed to a decrease in consumer complaints by providing education on consumer rights and obligations.
