MUSCAT : The groundbreaking survey was introduced during a workshop that featured an in-depth presentation on employment trends across establishments of different sizes. The findings revealed significant gender disparities in hiring practices, with employment gaps ranging from 7.5% in small establishments to a striking 43.1% in large establishments.
To streamline the job market and ensure seamless transition for various professionals across the market Oman had earlier unveiled Khuta (Steps), a first-of-its-kind vocational guidance platform. Khuta is designed to connect job seekers with employment opportunities while honing their skills to meet market demands.
The platform not only caters to students and job-seekers but also extends its benefits to employees, business owners, entrepreneurs, teachers, academics, and even parents. By integrating education, research, innovation, and job market requirements, Khuta is set to play a vital role in aligning the workforce with Vision 2040 objectives.
