MUSCAT : The meeting highlighted areas of cooperation to better support beneficiaries and foster community well-being.
The discussions, held at the office of His Excellency Sayyid Dr. Hamad bin Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi, brought together governors, municipal council members, and key stakeholders. The focus was on integrating government, private, and civil institutions. Social development committees, charitable teams, and Omani women’s associations were emphasized as critical players in addressing societal needs and promoting community initiatives.
Her Excellency Dr. Laila visited Al Wafa Centre for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, which provides care, rehabilitation, and empowerment services to children with mild and moderate mental disabilities, hearing impairments, physical disabilities, visual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. She praised the community-driven efforts to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities.

The Minister also visited the residences of the elderly, persons with disabilities, and underprivileged families in the Wilayat of Al Buraimi. These visits were aimed at assessing their living conditions and identifying their pressing needs.
The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening family and social ties, instilling social values among youth, and advancing social care services. Emphasis was placed on collaboration to improve the quality of life for all, especially the vulnerable while fostering a spirit of inclusion and empowerment.
