Muscat – The dispute arose when the construction company failed to deliver house stones as per the agreed specifications and delivery timeline. The consumer had paid in full for the stones, which were intended for export to Kuwait.
Following the consumer’s complaint, the Complaints Division at the CPA intervened. After mediation, an amicable settlement was reached, resulting in the cancellation of the contract and the refund of RO 2,217 to the consumer.
This resolution highlights the Authority’s ongoing efforts to safeguard consumer rights and ensure businesses adhere to the regulations in place to protect the public.
