Muscat: Addressing the nation live and reflecting on the journey since the launch of Vision 2040, His Majesty highlighted significant strides in improving national and international indicators, emphasizing that these achievements were made possible through the collective solidarity and support of the Omani people.
“We will work to continue this progress in the coming years – God willing – in a way that improves the services provided to citizens to become at the level of quality and efficiency that they aspire to and that allows them the opportunity to contribute to developing the public services system that we want to be a vital area for government excellence and a pillar of competitiveness.,” His Majesty stated.
Acknowledging the role of governorates in driving Oman’s growth, His Majesty commended ongoing development projects and affirmed the government’s commitment to granting governorates greater powers. “We have also laid the foundations for a local administration system that contributes to accelerating the development of the governorates, building a promising economic base in them, and developing a comprehensive partnership with society.,” he said.

His Majesty also emphasized the establishment of a comprehensive social protection system to ensure a decent life for all citizens, stressing the need for periodic reviews to achieve justice and inclusivity.
On economic development, His Majesty outlined Oman’s strategy to create a supportive and competitive environment for investment, focusing on facilitating business operations and attracting foreign investments. He reiterated the government’s resolve to diversify the national economy, achieve sustainable growth, and create job opportunities in various sectors.
“Our government has sought to build a wide network of ports, free zones, special economic zones and integrated industrial zones and to provide support for innovation and entrepreneurship programs and national investment funds,” His Majesty declared, adding that innovation, entrepreneurship programs, and international partnerships are key to the country’s global economic integration.
