MUSCAT : Al Dakhiliyah Governorate is making efforts in boosting its infrastructure and services with the implementation of 105 projects valued at RO 14.7 million, aimed at supporting and enhancing the community’s needs. Additionally, 68 ongoing projects are set to improve the road network, health walkways, parks, and more, with a total investment of RO 38.9 million. The governorate also has 38 projects in the contracting stages, valued at RO 18.7 million ensuring continued development across the region.

His Excellency Sheikh Hilal bin Saeed Al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, emphasized that these initiatives are designed to directly address citizens’ needs, with a focus on accelerating the contracting process for swift implementation.

Aligned with Oman’s vision for 2040, the governorate is making strides in enhancing its service, tourism, and economic sectors. A key focus is boosting infrastructure to attract investors, particularly by improving the visitor experience and supporting sustainable tourism throughout the year. Notable projects include the completion of the Nizwa Wilayat Entrance Development and the ongoing development of Nizwa Public Park, along with major initiatives in Al Jabal Al Akhdar and Jebel Shams, such as the public park and the Grand Canyon facade.

The governorate is also making headlines with its investment in modern infrastructure. Al Dakhiliyah has signed contracts for the Integrated Public Transport Station in Nizwa, the first of its kind in Oman, and is moving forward with the Asalah Project in Bahla. Furthermore, heritage tourism is a priority, with the restoration of Al Aqar neighborhood walls and the rehabilitation of Misfat Al Abriyeen in Al Hamra and Bahla Oasis, marking the governorate’s dedication to preserving its rich cultural legacy while boosting tourism.
