MUSCAT : Employers in Oman are urged by the Ministry of Labour to ensure the accurate transfer of workers’ wages through the Wage Protection System (WPS). A recent statement emphasized the importance of correctly filling in employee data in the WPS wage information file.
The Ministry outlined several key details that must be verified for smooth processing, including the bank account number linked to the establishment’s commercial register, the worker’s ID (whether civil number or passport), and the specific date and month for which the payment is made.
Additionally, employers must ensure that the employment contract aligns with the worker’s actual wage.
