ANKARA: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik visited the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, in the Turkish capital Ankara on Wednesday as part of his state visit to the friendly Republic of Turkey.
During his visit, His Majesty affirmed Oman’s steadfast commitment to the principles of peace. In a note written in the visitors’ book, he emphasized the Sultanate’s dedication to fostering peace as a national foundation and aspiration. His Majesty also extended his wishes for Turkey’s enduring stability and prosperity.
The visit included a tour of the museum adjacent to the mausoleum, where His Majesty explored exhibits showcasing Ataturk’s personal belongings and chronicles of Türkiye’s journey toward modernity under his leadership.
