MUSCAT : The Ministry has observed that some online stores, including those on websites and social media, are displaying products bearing national symbols and emblems without obtaining the necessary permits. In response, the Ministry has emphasized the importance of acquiring the appropriate authorizations before using Oman’s approved national symbols on any commercial products.
The Ministry has reminded e-commerce businesses to clearly display their e-commerce license number on their online stores, as required by law. The notice also highlighted the necessity of adhering to all provisions within the e-commerce regulatory framework to ensure transparency and consumer protection.
