MUSCAT : As part of the Ruwad Alizz Leadership Programme, Alizz Islamic Bank welcomed Dr. Hashil Al Mahrouqi, CEO of Omran Group as a keynote speaker for an insightful session with the candidates of the fourth batch of the programme to connect with audience and convey important leadership lessons, overcoming challenges, career advancement and how to make an impact in a globalised and rapidly evolving world.
As the CEO of Omran Group, Dr. Hashil Al Mahrouqi is taking the helm of development, progress and growth in the tourism sector. Aiming at maximising investment returns and achieving local added value, these efforts will contribute towards delivering key objectives of Oman 2040 Vision, through attracting tourism investments, developing pioneering projects and yielding socio-economic returns for the Sultanate. Al Mahrouqi holds multiple academic and professional qualifications, most notably the Master of Business Administration from Sultan Qaboos University, the Rising Leaders Program Certificate from HEC Paris Business School, the Real Estate Leadership Program certificate from Harvard Business School, and the Executive Leadership Program certificate from INSEAD International Business School, in addition to many professional and specialised certificates in the fields of investment, real estate and management.
The ‘Ruwad Alizz’ program is a comprehensive leadership development journey that spans various stages of study. Initially, employees engage with Harvard University, accessing educational online materials. as part of the programme, participants conduct independent research on a specific leadership topic and experience a comprehensive and accelerated development journey. The programme facilitates a assimilation of diverse experiences and leadership styles throughout the 6 months course.

Alizz Islamic Bank continuously strives to develop the future leaders of Oman; placing great importance on education, training and development, empowering future leaders and equipping them with the skills and capabilities needed to contribute their creative potential towards serving their communities. Ruwad Alizz Programme is designed to empower and develop 40 employees annually, 20 from Alizz Islamic Bank and 20 from other esteemed Government & Private Sector institutions as part of the Bank’s strategic direction and sustainability drive. The program entails six consecutive months of dedicated study, with the first, second and third batches having already more than 90 successful Ruwad Alizz graduates.
