Muscat: October was a month of commitment and community for W Muscat, as the hotel championed causes close to the heart of the region. With a focus on raising awareness, funds, and support for Breast Cancer Awareness, World Food Day, and Omani Women’s Day, W Muscat took a “Stand Up for Something” approach — proving that every effort counts and that small actions can lead to big changes.
Standing with the Oman Cancer Association for Breast Cancer Awareness
W Muscat kicked off the month with a focus on breast cancer awareness, partnering with the Oman Cancer Association (OCA) to spread the word on early detection and support for those affected. Team members and guests alike joined the OCA Breast Cancer Awareness Walkathon, donning pink in solidarity with the cause.
The hotel also hosted a themed “Pink Brunch” at Harvest, infusing the occasion with interactive experiences, pink décor, and a portion of proceeds dedicated to breast cancer support. In addition, W Muscat proudly supported Milly’s Golf Society Breast Cancer Awareness tournament. The support extended across the hotel, uniting guests, staff, and the community in this meaningful effort.

Taking Action for World Food Day
For World Food Day, W Muscat turned its focus to hunger relief and food security. The hotel team organized a series of internal events, including bake sales, flea markets, and donation drives, to raise over 1,400 rials in support of local initiatives fighting food insecurity. The month of action culminated in the annual Marriott World Food Day race, where W Muscat participated to raise awareness and funds for this critical cause, joining efforts worldwide to make a difference.
Empowering Women on Omani Women’s Day
Celebrating Omani Women’s Day, W Muscat hosted “Her Circle,” an empowering event that brought together women from various cultural and professional backgrounds. The event featured inspiring talks from accomplished Omani women, including Enaam Alruwaidhi, Aalla Alkremy, and Marwa Al Jahwari, who shared their journeys of breaking barriers and achieving success in their fields. Attendees left with a renewed sense of motivation, inspired by the stories of resilience and innovation from these influential speakers.
To further the empowerment mission, W Muscat arranged a session for its in-house talents with Dr. Shereen, focused on “Finding Balance.” This special gathering provided a space for women to learn about mental health, well-being, and work-life harmony, equipping them with tools for personal and professional growth.
Throughout October, W Muscat was more than a luxury destination; it was a hub of positive action and community engagement. By participating in these awareness-raising and fundraising activities, the hotel solidified its commitment to making a difference. Whether it was standing in solidarity with breast cancer survivors, raising awareness of food insecurity, or celebrating the achievements of Omani women, W Muscat demonstrated that giving back and building connections are at the core of its values.
As October came to a close, W Muscat wrapped up a month of meaningful impact, driven by a mission to “Stand Up for Something.”
