Muscat – Registration will be available from November 4 to November 17, 2024, via the electronic system for pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman aged 18 and above.
The registration process can be completed directly through the link (http://www.hajj.om) during the specified period. The system provides three registration methods: using the civil number, personal ID card, or mobile phone number, provided these are supported by the electronic authentication system ‘PKI’.
Additionally, the Ministry noted that applicants aged 67 and older (men) or 65 and older (women), as well as those with visual or motor disabilities, are entitled to select a companion from registered individuals.
Applicants are required to use their valid civil numbers from their personal ID cards for registration, along with a personal mobile number for receiving important communications and updates regarding the registration process.
For any technical support or inquiries, the Ministry has provided a hotline at 80008008 during official working hours and encourages users to submit reports via the electronic system.
To ensure transparency and the freedom of choice among eligible individuals, the Ministry has prohibited Hajj companies from interfering in the registration process.
The Ministry indicated that the applicant must be at least 18 years old and must accurately select the type of Hajj from the available options; those applying on behalf of incapacitated individuals must submit a medical report in Arabic. Similarly, applicants representing deceased persons must provide the necessary documentation, including a will validated by the relevant authorities.
The Ministry emphasized that registration does not guarantee final approval or entitlement until all verification processes are completed. Eligibility is determined based on the accuracy of submitted data and within the quota allocated to the Sultanate of Oman by Saudi authorities. Eligible individuals will receive notifications via text message.
Besides, once the opportunity is granted, it is essential for the recipient to select a Hajj company specified in the system, complete necessary medical examinations and vaccinations, and adhere to financial obligations as stipulated. Failure to comply will result in the opportunity being transferred to the next eligible individual.
The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs has highlighted that Oman’s allocation this year is set at 14,000 pilgrims. Applications submitted before the announcement, after the deadline, or lacking required attachments will not be accepted.
